Musculoskeletal therapists specialize in locating pain and using a mixture of evidence based manual therapy and movement to remove pain and restore function.

We’re different from physiotherapists in the same way an electrical engineer is different from an electrician.
Both are highly skilled at working with the same elements of the industry, but both have very different approaches to problems, and fulfill different roles within, the health industry.

Physios work with at risk populations, athletes, sports teams, medical grade injuries and debilitative conditions. they have a lot on their plate as the primary form of physical therapy.

MSTs work with everyday people with everyday issues to create simple, approachable, pain solutions. We use massage and exercise to get you out of pain. Simple. It’s teaching you the tools you need to get out of pain that usually becomes the hard part.

Rest assured pain doesn’t always equal damage. Some come in with injuries that feel horrible, but ultimately aren’t as bad as they initially assume. There’s a massive difference to being hurt and being injured, but the pain you can experience from both will be intensely similar.

It’s good to have MRI’s, X-rays, and scans done. Don’t however let waiting for those images stop you from getting into see a specialist. Weather that’s me or another specialist. Manual and physical therapy have been around longer than most imaging techniques so rest assured we can be just as effective without.
